Send a Message or Express Feelings to Loved Ones through Gift Basket Delivery Services

Wednesday, January 6th, 2010

Through a gift basket delivery, there is no more excuse not to send loved ones things that they will surely enjoy in one package. Wrapped creatively in a nice container, the items inside a gift basket can surely be customized to suit the likes of the receiver and make it more personal.

Gone are the days when gift baskets were only suitable for women. Recent studies show that more clients of this industry are made up of the corporate lot, providing gift baskets for colleagues, to send a message of congratulations, or just to express appreciation for their boss. Additionally, since these baskets may be customized to suit the preference of the receiver and the budget of the sender, more and more people appreciate the contents of a gift basket, and the market for the industry has become larger as well.

Another reason why many people are now turning to gift baskets is that almost all businesses that offer this gift option can now send the baskets to locations in almost any part of the world. Customers could wish their son or daughter a message of good luck as they begin their journey through college, or tell their grandparents to get well soon by having a gift basket delivered right at their doorstep. Through this expression, loved ones will never fail to appreciate the thought that goes with sending a gift basket and the message behind it.

Many establishments in the gift industry offer gift basket delivery services for their clients. Through this service, sending a message of love, appreciation, or a simple thank you is convenient.

Gifts, Gifts and More Gifts…It’s so Overwhelming

Sunday, September 27th, 2009

Gifts–It’s so overwhelming to think about. Have you ever felt this way, never knowing exactly what you are going to do? Gift giving has become our number one major headache these days. With the economy still crawling, so many stores to shop within, and the malls…Oh, what does one do next?

Gift giving never used to feel this way, but it seems that the birthdays keep growing and showers and anniversaries make one feel overwhelmed. Then on top of all those “great occasions” you get to look forward to the Holidays!

I believe we all should stop, take a deep breath and say to ourselves, ok, there has to be a better way to do this on-going shopping. After all, what child, small or grownup really appreciates the time you spend searching for their perfect gift. Most grownups just appreciate that you have thought about them for a moment.

Many are watching the amount of money they spend for groceries so why not do the same when it comes to all the gifts we would like to purchase, without breaking the bank as well? There are so many new stores which have helped with search time and new shops opening, old ones closing, that one gets overwhelmed searching for the best deals.

Why not make craft items or knit or crochet a beautiful gift? Many often forget how wonderful these items are to receive, but what about us who are not so “gifted or talented”. Here are a few tips that may help with your gift giving dilemmas.

Ask a friend or perhaps stopping at the local nursing homes, after all, our grandparents were our best teachers and we all love and treasure those incredible items they make. The extra time it takes is so greatly appreciated by the elders of our communities; most are so happy to help when they can. So, if you want to give something made with love and care, take a moment to stop in and check out all the wonderful things our nursing home residents can still make!

When you just do not seem to have the extra time to get-away, make a batch of cookies or put together the dry mix for a batch. Place them in canning jars along with directions and list of wet ingredients still needed. Next, place a scrap of fabric tied with a beautiful ribbon. For pie lovers, mix ingredients together for the crust, include directions plus either a batch of homemade pudding mix—(dry ingredients only) or perhaps a can of fruit, then place in a lined basket for another perfect gift idea.

There are many great ways to show appreciation and affection for all your friends and family without stressing out about the cost of doing so. We have become such a commercial community that we have forgotten the basics of friendships. Just be yourself, after all, isn’t that what true friendship is all about?

It just takes a few moments to remember how to put a smile on faces without breaking the bank. Shop for great sales, the online shops offer great deals and everyone knows in-home shopping is a great idea. Remember, stop, breathe, and save…save time, save money and save your sanity.

Over the years I discovered to never say "I Can’t or I give up". Look at life as a ladder-climb one step, fall back two. Learning to pick yourself up can be a challenge at times. Remember there is always a bright ray of sunshine beaming, we just need to come out from under the bushes to find it. There have been many challenges over the years from health to financial troubles, if you get hit with a curve ball–duck! If you fall off the ladder of life, get back up, hang on tight and climb back up. To visit our site: Sassy’s Boutique Gift Shop or Contact us: helensplace@comcast.net or sassysboutique@comcast.net.

Blankets for Every Occasion

Saturday, August 8th, 2009

There are many occasions when we want to give a gift but we aren”??t quite sure what to give.  Or, there are occasions when we are shopping for someone who has everything and we just aren”??t sure what to get them that they don”??t already have or that they would appreciate.  In these instances you should consider getting custom blankets.

Custom blankets are nice because there are many different things that you can do with them.  On birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, and the births of babies you can give a blanket that will not only be appreciated when it is given but it will also be appreciated years down the line.  In fact, many blankets become family heirlooms that are passed down from generation to the next.  Blankets always make a great gift.

Personalized blankets are always a great idea for that hard to buy for person on your list.  Parents, grandparents, and even teachers would appreciate a blanket that has the year as well as the names of the kids that are special to them embroidered on it.  Another idea is to have all of the kids or students write a short message on a quilt or blanket and give it as a glorified greeting card!  This is always a big hit and will definitely be personalized.

A photo blanket is a great option because there are photos from everyone”??s life that are worth putting on display or turning into a one of a kind blanket.  There are a couple of different types of photo blankets for you to choose from. One type of photo blanket actually has clear pouches in it where you can place printed pictures of your choosing.  Because the photos are simply in little slots you wouldn”??t want to curl up with such a blanket but it would make a nice wall hanging.  Another option when choosing your photo blanket is one where a picture or image is actually printed or embroidered onto the surface of the blanket.  The blanket features any picture or any selection of pictures of your choosing and because it is printed you can actually snuggle up with this type of blanket if you wanted to.  Either of these types of blankets would be loved and could be hung on a wall to put it on display.

As you can see, there are a lot of great options when it comes to giving a blanket as a gift.  This may seem like a really simple gift to give, but it is one that will likely be very well received.  You may be surprised to find later on that it was a favorite gift, one that would be cherished for years to come and perhaps even handed down to other family members.  Create a special gift and give a blanket that you customize specifically for someone in your life.
